ABSURD HERO to debut at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival
It’s week one of the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe. Thousands of shows, millions of flyers, and one quiet truth: we create, not because it makes sense, but because "doing it" does. We’re performing Absurd Hero, a musical about continuing, about showing up, not because it will matter, but because we’ve run out of reasons not to. It’s sharp. It’s smart. Occasionally it’s funny, sometimes intentionally. We’re promising sound theatre that knows there is none and dares to go on anyway. As Camus might say, "we’ve embraced the absurd and now we’re passing out programs."
Absurd Hero will be directed by Kelly McAllister with choreography by Heather Westenskow and music direction from Tanner Kelly. The Denver-based team will travel to Scotland and perform with other theatre troupes from around the world. The show will debut in Willow Studio at Riddles Court on August 1st and runs through August 9th, 2025.
"Undoubtedly one of the most charming venues at the Fringe" - The Guardian
Some famous faces have graced the halls at Riddles Court; including King James VI, who in 1598 attended a state banquet there and coincidentally, in 1751 it became the residence of David Hume, another well-known philosopher. It should come as no surprise that the building will become the venue for the new Musical’s debut. Tickets are available on the Edinburgh festival fringe website.
We are a small musical theater troupe based in Denver, Colorado who enjoy performing new works, just send us an eMail and let us know how you'd like to work with us.
